The Mindful Muscle
There are many excellent health and fitness methods. And generally, each of us can find the method or approach that resonates with our body and our sense of who we are as human beings. But even when we isolate a practice that we find fulfilling and effective, it is not uncommon for our adherence to the approach to wax and wane.
Methods that seemed to be tried and true lose their efficacy, or we grow tired of them. When this happens, our motivation and mood drops (we had such high hopes) and, sooner or later, the search begins again and we find another approach. Or, sometimes, we become inspired again to apply the same approach, which somehow resurfaces with a renewed vitality.
In all these cases, one thing seems clear. There is a pattern. It is a pattern of searching, finding, feeling inspired, incorporating, losing interest, stopping, and then repeating the process again and again.
If the above resonates with you, welcome to the human condition. And welcome to The Mindful Muscle, a website and resource that will help you to disrupt this pattern, and in its place, begin to lay the foundation (in your brain/body) of a different way of relating to yourself, your body, your workout, and your life.
As with all programs developed by the Institute for Mindfulness Studies, the Mindful Muscle introduces you to fundamental mindfulness teachings and techniques that are enjoyable to learn, memorable, and accessible throughout your day -- both when you are engaged in your own fitness routine and the rest of your day.
The Institute for Mindfulness Studies offers workshops and individual coaching to help you learn and incorporate mindfulness practices into your life, and to help you reclaim a more direct and effective approach to fitness. Our program is designed to work with your preferred fitness routine. At the same time, if you are interesting in beginning a fitness routine or exploring a new one, our partnership with fitness providers offers the opportunity to do so, while learning the Mindful Muscle Method.

I think the key word is "balance." Through Scott's tremendous help, I have learned to incorporate balance into my life. I really feel great. I have great energy and I actually feel so happy that I am in control of my body. It has been a tremendous experience and one that I recommend to anyone who is fed up with watching their metabolism take over and think there is nothing to do about it. Scott Rogers will change that for you and bring balance into your life.

Educator
Scott has tremendous knowledge and experience, but an ability to filter out the esoteric and bring it all down to a simple level that I could understand and grasp onto. He was able to tailor a plan specifically for me, by understanding my limitations and what I was capable of - often times knowing me better than I know myself. His coaching was helpful at every turn - and was always accessible. The experience for me has been nothing short of life-altering.
